New Year, New You 2013!

At the start of the new year, many people reflect on their lives and resolve to make changes that will better their health. For many this means committing to eat better, to exercise, or to resting and relaxing more. Here at WSKV, the DJ’s and staff have elected to take on a REBOOT and we are inviting our listeners to go on this journey with us.

What is a REBOOT? It is a fruit and vegetable juice fast that lasts up to 10 days or beyond. The process of “rebooting” has been made famous by Joe Cross, who decided to embark on a 60 day juice fast as chronicled in the documentary “Fat, Sick , and Nearly Dead.” The results of Joe’s fast is nothing short of amazing. Not only did he lose more than 80 pounds, but he also found that he was incredibly cured of his chronic illness. Today, Joe makes a full time job of encouraging others to try the REBOOT so they may experience similar results.

Our plan is to roll out the information about the REBOOT on the air starting January 14th, then to begin the actual juice fast on January 21st. Our REBOOT will be supervised by Steve Day from the Home for Health Lifestyle Center who is also planning a public viewing of the documentary “Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead” in Stanton at the Powell County Extension Office meeting room.
